My day job is as a legal secretary in downtown St. Louis, just two blocks from the ball park. Go Cards! I currently have two books at the query stage. The first, ON THE BORDER OF TIME, is a time travel-romance set on the Missouri-Kansas border during the Civil War. The second is a Contemporary Romance entitled FULL CIRCLE. In my spare time I love to read and write, travel (cruises being my passion – although a road trip through New England would be nice … or Tuscany. I’d love to see Tuscany, or Scotland, since reading Outlander. I haven’t been to California for awhile either …). I also enjoy people watching — preferably in an environment that includes an over-sized talking mouse sporting white gloves.
Dear Carol:
For some strange reason, I clicked on your email about your pitch and the responses you got. This led me to your site and to the two essays about your parents. I loved both and just wanted to tell you so. I have been a frustrated writer since I was 9. Well, I wasn’t frustrated back then, since I wrote more than I do now. But I read an entire issue Saturday night of a writing magazine in one sitting, so I believe there’s hope. One reason I enjoyed your piece about your mom is that I am just now exploring “mom” issues myself. Mine just turned 85 in November and just before that surprised us all with a quardruple bypass. It’s been an interesting experience and has even made me feel closer to her. I wish your mom well. She sounds wonderful. Thanks for the great reads! Debbie.
Thanks, Debbie. Glad you enjoyed them. And good luck to you and your mom.
Carol
